About Aleah

Aleah Safago is a multi-award winning tattoo artist and illustrator born and raised in Cadillac, Michigan. She’s been tattooing for 5 years and has always been an artist in many forms - charcoal drawing, gouache painting, wood painting, embroidery and Photoshop. She’s always wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps as an artist and finds inspiration from nature.

She attended Northwestern Michigan College and achieved an associate’s degree in Illustration, which is where her love for tattoos took form. She apprenticed in Monterey, CA under Sean Poland, moved to San Angelo, TX where she worked under Alex and Aubrey Trufant, tattooed in Fairbanks, AK under Sarah Maxwell and Glenn Vale, and has now found her way back to her hometown.

Aleah loves to tattoo anything nature related like flora and fauna, she loves to tattoo pet portraits and fine line designs. Her style is mostly illustrative stippling with black and gray, but loves color and would like to do more of it. She enjoys taking things that are meaningful to a client and creating a piece that tells a story.
